“Choose Location For Search Results” Popup. Why is #Google Forcing Me To Give Them My #Location Now?

Recently, I was using Google’s search engine to do some research on the #InnocenceProject when Google began preventing me from proceeding until I agreed to share my location. #googlelocation

At Least 10GB/month free A+ VPN for all devices with my link:

I could not simply click off of the prompt that popped up. I could not click a cancel or “not now” button because there were no such options. My only option was to go back, type in a new search or url in the address bar, or close the tab. Why is Google now trying to force you to share your location with them? This intrusive choose location for search results popup seems to be a new feature Google is testing and has a lot to do with localizing business searches to deliver accurate hours, phone numbers, addresses, etc.

Did my VPN set off some kind of alarms with Google? Did Google simply not like what I was researching and wanted to increase the personal data they have on me because it goes against their agenda? What would be the reason for them to stop me in my tracks the way they did? I have never seen this before in my entire life.

I was on a Windows laptop using the Google Chrome browser. Do you know anything about this new and intrusive measure by Google to track you down?
