How Not To Choose A Brand Name For Selling Your Products On Amazon

I would call this a brand name fail or a trade name fail. Have you ever noticed how many Chinese re-sellers re-brand and sell items on Amazon? If so, then you’ve probably noticed how much broken English is littered within their product names, product titles, product descriptions, product brochures, etc. This is often referred to as “Chinglish.” I’ve always wondered why they don’t pay a native of the United States, who speaks English as their primary language, to proofread their marketing materials. I also wonder why they don’t pay someone similar to help them with their brand name or trade name.
This video is a prime example of the fail a business, operating in a foreign market, can make with their branding.

SPOILER

This company is operating under the brand name BSTINK. They are selling re-manufactured Ink cartridges for printers.
BSTINK……can you believe that?
And if the company is reading this, “stink” is a derogatory adjective that would be used to describe a person, product or service negatively.
