After two years with my Bissell Little Green Proheat, I have to say that’s it’s one of the best household appliance purchases I have ever made. I have used this portable carpet cleaner non-stop for two years and it is still working great! My Bissell Little Green Machine is model 506YA. While the Bissell 506yA has been discontinued, there’s a newer, better model available. The replacement, updated model for my machine is the Bissell 506yW and it packes in basically the same body an motor but with a couple additional features. The most notable features of the 2019 Bissell Little Green Proheat is that it now has a separate switch for heat and an led light to notify you when the cleaning solution has warmed up. Besides those two features, the 506yW is virtually identical to the 506yA.

I have used my portable Bissell carpet cleaner that I bought from Walmart to spot clean and even deep clean a variety of surfaces and upholstery. While I have used this little green proheat for common fabrics like those found on your couch, recliner, carpet and rugs, I’ve used my a lot to detail cars. Specifically, I use my Little Green Machine to clean car floor mats and car seats.It’s worked so well and for so long as you can see in the video.

As for cleaning pet stains, I’ve cleaned many of them with my portable machine. While I do not own a pet cat or pet dog, I have cleaned many dog stains and cat stains with my little green proheat. Even when there’s been ground in pet hair in the way, the machine has managed to avoid getting clogged and has stayed at full suction power.Pet accidents will be no match for this machine.

Now, while I bought my Bissell spot cleaner from Walmart, you can also find it online as a portable carpet cleaner Amazon. Amazon and Walmart have similar pricing for these machines, so I guess it’s all about where you like to shop. There are some similar machines out there you might give consideration to as well.

Similar Models include:
⚫ Bissell 2505 which is billed as the Pro version and has a very modern design. It’s Bissell’s “most powerful spot cleaner.”
⚫ Bissell 2513g designated for bets without heat.
⚫ Bissell 2513w which is a heated version of the 2513g.
⚫ Bissell 14259 which seems to be the same as the 50y6w and may just use different model numbers in different territories.
⚫ Bissell 50y6w which is the newer model of mine with the added switch for the heating option and an led indicator for when the heat is ready.
⚫ Bissell 1400M which is similar in every way besides it lacking a heating element.
⚫ Bissell 1400W which seems to be identical to the 1400m but in a different color and may have a different tool included.
⚫ Bissell 14007 which seems to be identical to my machine but in a different color green and no heat.
⚫ Bissell 2054 which is called their Pet Stain Eraser and is a powerful handheld carpet cleaner and spot cleaner. This is the most portable option designed to be fast for smaller jobs.

As you can see from all the models listed above, there are a lot of options from Bissell when it somes to portable carpet cleaning machines and portable spot cleaning machines. I honestly believe you would be satisfied with any of them so just look over the options and pick the one for you!
