Bathroom Novelty Machine Spotted in 2024.

Unbelievably, I spotted an old school condom and novelty machine at an Exxon gas station in northeast Georgia. I haven’t seen one of these in ages! It was hilarious because it was promoting Osama Bin Laden condoms. This machine was really a blast from the past!

Condom and novelty machines in gas station and truck stop bathrooms have become less common over the years for several reasons:

1. **Changing Consumer Behavior**: With the rise of online shopping and the availability of condoms and novelty items in more mainstream retail stores, the demand for these vending machines has decreased.

2. **Maintenance and Vandalism**: These machines often required regular maintenance and were sometimes targets for vandalism, making them less cost-effective for businesses to maintain.

3. **Public Health and Safety Concerns**: There have been concerns about the quality and safety of products dispensed from these machines. Condoms from vending machines might not undergo the same rigorous quality control as those sold in stores, raising questions about their reliability.

4. **Modern Alternatives**: Many gas stations and truck stops now offer a wider range of products inside the store itself, reducing the need for separate vending machines.

Do you have any specific memories or stories related to these machines? It would be interesting to hear!
