Zion Williamson, the star rookie basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans, will miss the start of the regular season. Reports are that he has a bruised right knee. Many people, including myself, believe there’s more to the story than simply a knee bruise that’s keeping the most hyped rookie in NBA history from starting the NBA season with the New Orleans Pelicans. Is a trade involving Zion Williamson something the New Orleans Pelicans franchise should consider making? So far, Zion has not been able to finish the NBA Summer League without injury, the NBA Preseason without injury and will miss the first few weeks of the NBA Regular Season. That’s scary for Pelicans fans.
Many fans are fearing the second coming of Greg Oden and would like to see a trade made which sees Zion Williamson and his health and injury concerns shipped off to a team in the Eastern Conference in exchange for star players and 1st round draft picks. Personally, I think a good trade for the New Orleans Pelicans would include Zion for New York Knicks’ Rookie RJ Barrett, some role players and 1st round draft picks.
