Palermo Chili Garlic Sauce from Dollar Tree: Is It Worth $1.25?
I reviewed the Palermo Chili Garlic Sauce from Dollar Tree, which sells for just $1.25. After enjoying some red beans and sausage the night before, I woke up with a rough case of acid reflux—definitely not ideal. The sauce itself is made with water, red hot chili pepper, and garlic powder. Its consistency reminded me of barbecue sauce, but it didn’t have much of a scent. I wasn’t thrilled that it came in a plastic bottle, although I do appreciate being able to reuse it. Taste-wise, it was pretty bland. I had to use quite a bit just to get any flavor out of it. I gave it one thumb up for the price, but honestly, you’re better off spending a little more for something with better quality. I recommend trying my own hot sauce, Sauce45, if you want something that really brings the heat and flavor.
