Misophonia vs Jason Whitlock

In this video, I show you how my misophonia disorder has ruined my enjoyment of the Jason Whitlock show. #misophonia #JasomWhitlock #mouthnoises

Misophonia Triggers in this video include me clearing my throat and some microphone “popping.”

I’ve dealt with misophonia my entire life. As early as I can remember, noises that everyone else around me seems to be able to ignore have been amplified for me. Sounds of chewing, sniffling, snoring, teeth grinding, throat clearing, and even just people breathing has bothered me. This can lead to a loss of enjoyment involved in listening to different media and entertainment.

I consume a lot of audio media. This can be from listening to podcasts all day, audiobooks on a long drive, or screaming my entire YouTube watch later playlist. As soon as I pick up on a noise, habit, or vocal tic by the speaker delivering the media, my levels of stress and anxiety increase greatly. I become focused more on waiting for that next annoying sound to happen and lose the ability to absorb and enjoy the words being delivered.

This example involves conservative sports and politics delivered by Jason Whitlock of his current Fearless with Jason Whitlock fame. Jason Whitlock carved his place in sports entertainment popularity when he was part of Fox Sports and ESPN. His current offering, which is consumed mostly on YouTube, is more political and filled with his personal opinions, usually on matters involving society in the United States and American politics.

I simply can no longer enjoy his show because he has a few repetitive mouth noises he makes which are highlighted in this video.
