Are there Coyotes in New Orleans? Reports of Louisiana residents spotting coyotes in their neighborhoods have been on the rise. For the last 20 years, coyote sightings in Louisiana have been on the rise. I wasn’t aware of coyote sightings in New Orleans until I saw this footage.

Check out this camera footage in this video of two coyotes just passing through a New Orleans neighborhood in the early morning hours.

Because coyotes typically will not attack a human, there are little to no reports of a coyote attack in New Orleans or any coyote attacks (on humans) in Louisiana. While these wild animals typically will not take on a human, they will attack pets like cats and dogs as well as small animals like chickens.
