After unboxing the Easy SMX VG-C343 wireless controller, I had high hopes. It’s marketed as the gamer’s choice, featuring a unique splatter paint design, ergonomic comfort, and a built-in rechargeable battery with USB-C charging. The battery life is advertised at around eight hours, depending on settings like the rumble feature.
At first, the controller felt promising—lightweight yet sturdy, with a comfortable grip. However, after just two weeks of playing NBA 2K, I ran into serious issues. The left thumbstick started sticking and grinding, making precise movement nearly impossible. This quickly turned into a major frustration, especially during critical moments in gameplay.
Despite the controller’s initial appeal, the quality didn’t hold up. While it’s lighter than an Xbox 360 controller, the durability just isn’t there. Ultimately, I decided to return it, especially after noticing a price drop on Amazon, which felt like a sign of inventory clearance. I replaced it with another generic wireless controller that feels more traditional and sturdy.
I can’t recommend the Easy SMX VG-C343—it gets two thumbs down from me. Have you tried this controller? Let me know your experience in the comments! Don’t forget to like and subscribe for more honest gaming reviews.
