I was in one of the least racially diverse towns in the country and they happened to have a Walmart. Nothing was locked up in this store. The store was clean. The staff was friendly. Since I was only staying in this area temporarily, this was probably not an experience I should get used to. And thatβs a sad reality for most people in this country.
Was it only a coincidence that the town was pretty much only White people? How do the two correlate if at all.
The parking lots were clean. People were returning their baskets to the cart corrals. I didnβt hear any loud, obnoxious music blasting from old Nissan Altimas or Dodge Chargers.
This was a surreal experience.
