This is how I make perfect hard boiled eggs that peel easily and cleanly every single time. Here’s a summary of what you need and how to do it……
I always use large eggs. I can’t guarantee the same results with smaller or larger eggs.
Make sure you have enough water in the pot to cover the eggs.
Make sure you get a rolling boil with the water BEFORE you put the eggs in to boil.
Put the eggs in the boiling water for 12 minutes.
Turn the heat off then let the eggs sit in the pot of hot water (on the same burner) for 10 minutes.
Remove the hot water from the pot then submerge the eggs in an ice bath for 10 minutes. Make sure the water in the ice bath covers all the eggs.
After 10 minutes, you can immediately peel the eggs. They should peel just as easily and cleanly as you see in my video.
If you can’t immediately peel the eggs, I store mine in the refrigerator still submerged in water until I can get to them.
