On the bottom of the wire stripper is a small ‘allen key’ use it to adjust the cutting depth of the blades, then it will trip the speaker wire just fine. You will need to readjust for each different type of wire.
Wow. Did you even follow the directions? You did everything backwards, and didn’t even adjust the blade…
