Coop DeVille Hammond Louisiana Review

There’s not much that’s silly about this review.  Sometimes I get so disappointed or pissed that I go into a rant like the one below.

So I’m in Hammond spending the holidays at my girlfriend’s parents house when on Saturday night we decide to order out.  There was a menu in the house for a place called Coop DeVille on 1816 West Thomas Street.  This chicken fingers place delivers which I thought was awesome because I didn’t feel like getting up and driving or taking a ride anywhere to pick up food.  This place sucks for the following reasons.

1. Delivery Time.  We made our order at about 5:30 PM.  The guy on the phone told my girlfriend delivery would take about an hour.  After an hour and 20 minutes, we called to check up on our order and the guy working there, who answered the phone originally to take the order, said he already told us it would take about an hour and a half (bullshit) and that our food was still cooking.  His excuse for the long delay was that they were short a frying machine.  That’s would make sense if we ordered anything that was fried.  Our order consisted of 3 sandwiches made with grilled chicken and 2 salads with no chicken.
2. The chicken is nasty!  The chicken on these sandwiches looked, felt, and tasted like the kind of processed chicken you buy from a drive – thru at Mc Donald’s or Burger King.  This shit was gross.  It was rubbery, had those little gross grizzle balls on it, and was ridiculously salty.  I guess this place sells much more fried chicken fingers than it does grilled.  The frying probably masks the disgustingness.  This joint also sells wings.  I won’t ever try the wings because I will never waste my money there again.
3. Delivery Fee – My ordered total almost came to fifty dollars yet Coop DeVille charged an extra two bucks from delivery.  Most places I order from offer free delivery with a minimum order, say $20.00.  This delivery charge is wack!

The only enjoyable portion of my meal from Coop Deville was the side salad.  This salad cost about $6.00 but was very worth it.  It was very large and had all kinds of good stuff on it like cheese, bacon, and tomatoes.  I wish I would have order two of these instead of the sandwich.
