My first ever home computer was some type of antiquated rig from 1990. It had a mechanical keyboard which was so loud, I had to cut lawns to save up for a quieter one. Fast forward 26 years, and I still miss the click and clack of a quality mechanical keyboard. When I set out to finally purchase one, I knew I had a budget of $150 and I wanted the keyboard to look nice and feel like it was built to high-quality standards. After some shopping around, I decided to go with this one, the Razer Blackwidow.

This mechanical keyboard is market as a “gaming” keyboard, but I don’t use it for that. The “gaming” part only means that it has built in macros to automate/simulate programmable series of keystrokes.
