Sony CDX-GT610Ui Review with video
The Sony CDX-GT610Ui is an affordable, feature packed car stereo head unit that packs a serious punch. I have one installed in my 1993 Honda Del Sol Si to go along with my Ample Audio Component System and Ample Audio 10″ subs that were put in a custom enclosure behind the seats.

Before this head unit, I was working with a super crappy cd/mp3 player by some off brand company that was for sale at Wal-Mart. I really needed an upgrade that was affordable. When I saw this head unit at Mobile One out here in Metairie, LA, I had to buy it. First, I’ll tell you about the features. Then, I will tell you about my personal experience with it.

That list is pretty impressive for a car stereo that costs less than $200.00, wouldn’t you say? I have had nothing but good things to say about this head unit. First, it plays all the kinds of music files I have on my computer. Second, It has a USB input in the front so I can bring my portable flash drives with me and sd cards (which means I don’t have to burn cds when I’m in a rush to listen to some new jams). Third, it has an ipod plug built into the back which runs under my carpet and up by my center console which is cool for when a friend wants to bring along their ipod (I own a Creative Zen Vision M). Fourth, it has an auxillary input in the front, above the usb, that allows me to plug in my Zen and jam out to it. Fifth, This radio is loud as hell. I actually disconnect my amp for my highs in the front and am running it from the radio because I found they sounded better. Finally, the remote that came with it is easy to use, just like all the features of the stereo.
