Sugar Free 24:7 Energy Drink Review with video

Energy drinks. There just can’t be enough of them, right? That’s what you would think nowadays. There are so many “energy” drinks out there. When I was at Walgreen’s drug store this morning, I wanted to snag some pick me up in a can or bottle. I always try to find energy drinks that are sugar free and on sale. Usually, there’s some kind of 2/$2.00 sale but this time there was none so I went with the cheapest sugar free option available, SUGAR FREE 24:7 ENERGY.

Here are the stats:

  • 16 fluid ounces (473ML)
  • Serving size = 8 ounces
  • 8 calories, 58mg sodium, <0.3 mg protein, 76% daily value of Niacin
  • Ingredients include Water, Carbon Dioxide, Citric Acid, Taurine, Sodium Citrate, Caffeine, Glucuronolactone, acesulfame-k, aspartame, flavors, niacinamide, riboflavin, caramel color.
  • This sugar free caffeine infused energy drink is manufacturured by PriLabs Inc., Brooklyn, NY 11215.
  • There is no flavor listed on the can. I really can’t think of a flavor to call this energy drink. It really tastes like most other sugar free caffeine drinks. I starting and finished drinking the entire 16 ounces about 2 hours after waking up. I can say that I definitely felt a boost of energy similar to that of a cup or two of coffee. During these hot summer months in New Orleans, I often find myself wanting to get my caffeine fix in the form of cold energy drinks such as this 24/7 Energy Drink rather than cups of hot coffee. I was definitely not disappointed with this one.

Here are a few interesting tidbits I found out while doing some research online about this company and this particular product.

This company, PriLabs Inc., has an official web site (linked above) which offers little information for consumers about their beverages. I was trying to find a list of ingredients to copy and paste for this review but instead, had to manual type them while reading them off the back of the can.
There’s no flavor listed on this can of sugar free energy drink. Usually you find “cool” names on energy drinks like “Power Berry” and such.
There’s a Beverage discussion forum / message board that has a question posted by a member about 24:7 Energy. “has any one tried 24/7 energy drink?” I will be posting a reply.
There is a commercial made by PriLabs, I think for their energy drinks, that you can watch. Download PriLabs Inc. Video.

In this video I judge the flavor and the energy given by this drink in a drum beating comparison.

nice drum solo! I never get that kind of energy from red bull, maybe I should switch to 24:7. How did you learn to play the protein shake can like that?

    • SuperMan says:

Hey Man….. I tried 24:7 Energy and loved it…. My Walgreens sells it for $1.50 each…… you can get 2 for $3… I love the original flavor…. no after taste!!!! 24:7 rocks…. and the name is really cool.

    • Kira says:

It is pretty good, it looks kind of like Monster, and tastes kind of like it too.

Seems like the package design is a mashup of the logos from the TV show “24″ and the falling characters from The Matrix. So it looks all futuristic.

Other than that, it is cheap, so that is why I’m buying it.

      Hahahahahahahahahaha

But for real, I think it’s a pretty good energy drink. Did you hear some Wal-Greens’ are not carrying the Sugar-Free variety or one of the other varieties anymore? What’s up with that? I love this stuff, and now I can only get it at select Wal-Greens’. Damn it.

    • Jon says:

This crap sucks.I went in walgreens after working a 12hr shift and picked up the blue and black 24:7 energy drink mistaking it for a low carb monster…only after taking a sip did i realize that i had gotten the wrong drink. It tasted like kissing a whore that was chewing juicy fruit and smoking a pall-mall. Let this be a lesson kids: always read the label carefully when you are sleep deprived. PS its only like 50 cents cheaper than monster so go on and splurge a little.
