Lo Carb Monster vs. Sugar Free Red Bull – Energy Drink Face-off: Coffee is dead

With the recent popularity boost of energy drinks, we are no longer forced to drink gross coffee for our daily energy boost. In this review, I put two of the more popular energy drinks in a head to head face-off to see which drink gives me the most energy. Energy, in this case, will be measured by the number of pushups that I can do before failure.

Push ups are known for being an effective measure of both energy and strength, so what better way to test these two drinks? In one corner we have the Blue Monster, a low-carb sensation with Ginseng, B Vitamins, and taurine. In the other corner, we have the Sugar-Free Red Bull, complete with Taurine, Caffeine, and Sodium Citrate. Both drinks tastes good, but what we really want is an energy boost. Which drink comes through in the final round? Only one way to find out….
