It’s not often you find a car that was made in 1993 in this condition. Not surprisingly, it’s a Honda. What we have here is a 1993 Honda Del Sol Si. I am the third owner of this car. I bought it back in 2004. It has 154,000 miles on it and is still running like a champ.
I wouldn’t sell this car for anything in the world. Not only does this little convertible hardtop rice rocket still feel like it has every drop of it’s stock 125hp (maybe more now with new exhaust), but it still gets about 30mpg city and around 35mpg on the highway.
It’s hard not to love a car that still gets looks and positive comments some 14 years after it rolled of the lot for the first time. Some of the best features of this car are the looks , performance (I lowered mine with an eibach pro kit set of springs), and reliability. “Cool” features include removeable hard top that stores in the trunk, sporty design, and peppy engine (even at 154,000+ miles). Since I’ve owned the car, I have only had to change out a few things like the radiator, thermostat, and water pump. It doesn’t burn a drop of oil and idles perfectly.
